This trifecta of Altar dishes shimmering in bronze and silver, is in honor of the water kin. An abalone shell is one of the most mystical and elusive finds in the natural world. Yet abalone is now an endangered species. Ecologically, they maintain the ocean habitat by controlling algal density. In the California indigenous human world, the abalone was food. This faithful ally to the balance of great systems is who I am honoring. 13 % of sales will go to abalone restoration and protection efforts via Center for Biological Diversity.
